About our founder

Dr. James Harris qualified as a midwife in 2005, and has held clinical contracts with the NHS since then. He has worked in all areas of maternity care, in both high and low risk settings and his most recent NHS role is as a Consultant Midwife at a central London hospital. He has previously worked as a university lecturer, and was awarded a PhD in Health Psychology by UCL in 2015. With over twenty scientific journal publications on maternity issues, he both contributes and understands the evidence base related to pregnancy care. 
Outside of work he loves to cook, travel, and attempt to train his cat, Rufus.
